Know Your Style
Ola Guys! Hope you're all well. This week I thought of coming up with something more creative n have that little style chat with you people. We all go through that struggle in our life where we cant really identify what our personal style is and end up buying whatever is in trend which peacefully rests in our wardrobe for the next thousand years! n you're there with a great misery of having nothing to wear despite spending each penny you earn on clothes.
So girl you deserve a lot more then that. Why not approach your wardrobe each day with confidence and have the ability to feel legitimately beautiful in what you are wearing. Don't you want that perfect set of clothes n exclaim with happiness about how much your clothes describe you! Yes that is possible if you identify what style tribe you belong to. Once you know it you can actually invest in the pieces that you are going to wear n wear a lot! Here are a few style style cults that have been noticed in the last few seasons:
1. The Minimalist
This tribe is a strong believer of less is more. The style is clean cut, non fussy yet very classy and stylish. There is a strong focus on tailoring and fit. They make the most basic outfits look amazing !
Key words: Solid colors, sharp lines, simple accessories (or no accessories at all!)
2. The Grungy Group
The grunge look is a style based around the grunge music scene--it's comfortable, dirty, and heavily steeped in flannel. This group can be spotted from a mile away because of their badass tresses and devil grins. This style was popular in the late 80's and early 90's and has been a huge trend this era too.
Key pieces : Graphic prints, Oversized glasses, plaid shirts, baggy denims, oversized jackets, Utility boots, cool belts!!
3. The Boho Beauties
The boho fashion is influenced by various hippe and bohemian cultures. It became popular during 1960 and 1970. The essence of bohemian is focusing on loose fitting flowy cootony soft fabrics often worn in layers accessorized with lots of rings and necklaces (mostly silver). This trend is most popular in the Coachella festival where the celebrities and the people too can be seen wearing the most chic gypsy inspired outfits.
Key Pieces: Fringes, gladiator shoes, hats, maxi dresses, paisley prints, John lenon glasses, kimono outers n much more!
3. The Girly Girls
This group gracefully handles the feminine silhouettes with makeup done to perfection. They choose the most form flattering and beautifully crafted pieces. Bright colors on the go!
Key Pieces: Florals, Pinks, Pastels, Sheer and lace, A-lined skirts, Cute Ballerinas, Elegant Stilletoes
4. The Eccentric Expressionists
Also known as the artsy fashionists they are the ones who create their own indivisual style niche. They have this immense love for art and culture that reflects in their outfits. They mix up nearly everything possible. Dresses with jeans? Check. Patchwork? Check. Headgears? Check. You can feel their creativity striking your head!
Key Pieces: Nothing! Because you never know what the non confirmists are upto!
5. The Masculine Feminine
Key Pieces: Chrisp shirts, Brogues, Patent Loafers, Oversized Blazers, Structured bags
6. The Normcore Crew
This crew has a deliberate choice of clothing. They dress down in the simplest way and don't wanna be like, obvious! Being unpretentious is their mantra!
Key Pieces: Oversized shirts, basic tees, casual footwear, Sweatshirts
7. The Model Off-Duty
The last and my personal favourite style. This group has that effortless cool vibe which slays the people's hearts! They already know what's gonna rule the style world next. You name it, they have it! This style became popular by streetstyle outfits worn by models celebrities and bloggers in their running errands.
Key Pieces: Bodycon dresses, Tanks (both fitted and slouchy), worn in jeans, biker jackets, boots, sneakers !
So this is it for today. I hope this post helped you identify your style. Please tell me if I've missed anything out and what did you think about this post. Adios!
